Extraordinary Sitting of NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Held

At November 17 extraordinary sitting moderated by Vladimir Vardanyan, the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs in the second reading debated and endorsed the bill on Amending the Law on Public Service authored by the Government.

Before debating the agenda item Vladimir Vardanyan has noted that the another aggression of Azerbaijan against our country corresponds with the definition of ‘Aggression’ as a crime made by the UN in 1974. “We should be steadfast and we should defend the sovereignty of our country and raise the ability of defense at any price,” the Chair of the Standing Committee said.

The amendment being designed in the law on Public Service allows the President of the Republic and the RA Prime Minister to have also advisors appointed on voluntary bases. By the Prime Minister’s consent, the Deputy Prime Ministers and the Minsters may have advisors appointed on voluntary bases, and the Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs - Commissioners for Diaspora Affairs with the status of the advisor appointed on voluntary bases in the foreign states.

The Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the RA Prime Minister’s Staff Zareh Sinanyan informed that after the first reading proposals had not been presented in written form and orally.

The co-rapporteur Vahagn Hovakimyan called on his colleagues to vote for it.
